For insurance reasons, bus drivers usually can't get involved; can't even touch kids to separate them. I have a family member who works in transportation, says some districts require police intervention for severe cases. Tiny kids can really damage to each other.

Read the article. Other girl was injured as well. Also, it doesn't say who instigated this mess. They could both the POC. I'm a big liberal, but I don't think it helps to jump on an incident and judge immediately. Can we not just wait for more info before opinion?

The problem is the handcufffing of an 11 year old girl! There are ways to restrain a child (CPI NON VIOLENT INTERVENTION) with out handcuffs and putting them in police cars!

Her parents probably want to help shine a light of the injustice and treatment of an 11 year old black girl where she has marks on her face... so that more people are aware of whats taking place

I’m a teacher and I’ve seen a 40 lbs 8 year old girl break another teacher’s arm. If she is violent and manic, handcuffs/restraint might have been the safest choice for her

My god. This poor child. I remember fights in school and no one was arrested. Why not separate them and talk this out. Help her. Offer support and maybe a trusting relationship will form. We can do better than this. Also she was hurt too. Look at her face.
