The United States is not #1 in much. Not education, not healthcare, not economic equality, none of that. We're #1 in mass shootings and mass incarceration. It's not even close. That's where we lead. This is what we're the best at.

Banning things doesn't give you control over them. Criminals don't care if weapons are legal or not. They will find a way to get their hands on them. I think stricter gun laws would be the smart move.
-
Tell the families of the victims you don't think their loss is worth the banning of unnecessary assault weapons. Tell kids going to school you do think their safety is worth it to ban unnecessary violent guns.

-
“Unnecessary violent guns” Weapons aren’t violent, but people are. The banning of one weapon, still leaves other weapons available.. so you’re just going to ban all weapons then? The biggest question should be how did a 19 year old get his hands on one and where are the parents?

So take the guns away from those people, and increase funding for mental health facilities then.
-
Take the pencils away from those people who failed the test and you still have failed tests. The pencil is gone but there was still a way to fail the test. You get it?
-
Ok explain why so many americans are against implementing or enhancing any form of gun control. As soon as its mentioned we get the 2end amendment or it won't work. So your happy to carry on with a system that allows mentally ill people to by a machine designed for mass murder
-
There already is a form of gun control in action so I'm not sure what you're getting at there. What I'm NOT okay with is innocent young people dying and ignorant individuals claiming to have all of the solutions. IT IS NOT CUT AND DRY.

AR-15s specifically? Can you tell me how an AR-15 is different from any other semi-automatic gun, or is it just the one you hear the most about?
-
If you want to propose sweeping gun legislation like that, the best place to start if you want to be taken seriously is researching guns.

Yes because banning them will prevent people from getting a hold of them and using them. Just like how banning drugs got people to stop using them huh?
-
How about banning manufacture of guns that are sold to civilians. Why do civilians need to be armed to the teeth? Stop making the guns. Keep them for army or law enforcement.
-
Now that would be completely disregarding the 2nd amendment. Civilians have a right to bear arms and it will always stay that way.
