Here's the hustle. If you can't talk about gun violence the day of or the day after a mass shooting, you can never talk about it at all, because the shootings happen every few days. We're in a perpetual state of "now is not the time."

I don't understand the logic of GOP members who send thoughts & prayers for gun violence. They're in a position to do something about it. These same people fight against universal healthcare but want everyone to own a gun. Who is paying the medical bills of gun violence victims?

As well indifference. "Not my child not my problem". We have therapists for the victims but none for the shooter when HIS parents died. No one cared until he took out his pain on others. This could have been prevented.

My view from the UK: thoughts and prayers only prevent gun deaths if you get into power, then think you'll control guns more tightly and pray that Congress supports you. That's all.

That's how they keep gun laws lax, drill it into the heads of enough people and they'll shout down any one who brings gun control up instead of making their own children safe. Rinse and repeat and make money to pay off more politicians, the NRA way.
