No. No. That’s why electing Trump is undermining our institutions. He is such a danger that we are contemplating the Dept of Justice okaying electoral candidates before the people can decide. That’s banana republic politics. We just need to get rid of Trump and have a do over

Can pass laws requiring 1. Disclosure of tax returns AND 2. Security clearance requirement. Though I'm more dubious of #2 bc many "lefties" could be barred

Ultimately you would need a constitutional amendment. Don't think state laws with additional requirements for being elected president would hold up if challenged in court.
