Can't speak for Ireland. Never been there. England & France has racism. England isn't blantant, but talk to black people. They'll tell you how it is..
Went to see a film about Malcolm X. There were only 3 whites in the room. The anger in that room about racism was serious stuff. As an American, I had no idea they had that issue in England..
For sure there's racism here and in the UK/France. I think it's particularly bad in the US at the moment. I was more surprised Bono would feel the need to almost hide him in one of his castles because of it though.
It wouldn't surprise me. The stories I've heard from black people & the way they're treated in England isn't so pretty. I wouldn't be surprised if there were issues.
