@UNLincoln What is your response to this?? -
I bet this dude is a huge Husker football fan, too. when the majority of our players are black.pic.twitter.com/6J1BzLDICs

I’m a student at UNO and got the same email today. I had no idea what it was talking about but holy shit. This is called CYA in case he does do something. Well that’s not good enough. Does anyone know if
@Lincoln_Police knows about this? -
I heard through the grapevine that they were told and they don’t take it as a serious threat. Doesn’t hurt to file another report though.
-
Wow really? The one time police don’t overreact...
-
Sounds about white

-
If he were black he would be gone already.

Thanks for letting me know about this. As a UNL alumni I am horrified to learn this. I wrote this letter just now.pic.twitter.com/fpcOjXMtKO

Just a small effort on my part really
-
Great job Kevin! It doesn't matter how big or small it is, you are making an effort to get this guy off campus.

It would sure be nice if
@GovRicketts could get involved here, instead of issuing "stand for the anthem" proclamations & revoking ceremonial honors. You know, keep the people of his state safe. -
I don’t agree with a word he’s saying but he has constitutional free speech rights, doesn’t he?
-
Yes...up to the point where he starts threatening violence against others.
-
Sure, but he’s not specifically threatening anyone. I’m concerned about those threats, but equally concerned about UNL policing this guy’s thoughts and beliefs. Same category as Ricketts expecting everyone to stand and honor the State.
-
It’s a slippery slope. Tru he did not make a call to action to commit violence. But he is subconsciously inciting fear and anger. He used the loophole in freedom of speech. And that’s the intent.
-
It’s not a loophole. Inciting violence of any kind is not protected speech. The first amendment doesn’t protect this speech. Period. Case law is pretty clear. Therefore telling him to stop is not a slippery slope to NEGATING OUR FREE SPEECH RIGHTS.
-
And it’s telling they fired folks for protesting right-wing groups, but won’t take action here.
