You can see his daughter whispering "no". She is mortified. Yes, there are few things more horrifying than what this father knows happened, but he is making his daughter's pain about him now and probably made her pain and trauma worse by being so impulsive.

I avoided disclosing my abuse for a long time because I feared this reaction. I understand their rage. But the agony of their rage trumping my need to heal on MY terms made the subject impossible to disclose. Just another way her dignity and control was seized from her.
