I couldn’t watch in its entirety ...too much

I just can't watch the NFL anymore. These guys put their minds and bodies on the line for a handful of million bucks for delayed misery....for people's entertainment? Sanitized violence, they might as well be gladiators who get their heads cut off at 40.

I don't really watch anymore but saying it's a "record" seems a little misleading. It's the most reported concussions but probably because they actually keep track now. I can't imagine that is a actual record for concussions during a season.

I no longer watch football, not even the "Super"bowl.

Surely a major cause of those concussions is that so many players literally tackle with their head, somehow imagining that because it is helmeted they are protected. I love the NFL but its players should be taught to tackle properly, using their arms (not their head), as in rugby

Yeah, I've always been fundamentally against football because it's designed to give people brain trauma. Shouldn't exist in 20 years or so

I really appreciated this reporting and the related interview. Does a player have to die before we take this seriously?

Kaepernick wouldn't have gotten a concussion though.
