Where did you get that count?

I'm not disagreeing with you but I think you should also take into account that we have a marginally bigger population than other countries.
-
Sure, we’ve a larger population. Japan has around 40% of the people the US has. But the number of people killed by police in Japan is FAR less than 40% of our number. The point here is that we’re wildly out of step with the rest of the world.

That makes sense.

My little brother was feeling suicidal this past weekend. I was too afraid something bad would happen if we called the police to do a welfare check. A nation is sick to its core when citizens can’t call law enforcement to help because they fear being murdered instead.

In NM, our Governor wants to give our police immunity, "allows them to do their jobs w/o fear of being sued.". Seriously. How f'ed up is that?

I have nothing but respect for you Shaun, but this is straight propaganda. There may have been 105 people killed by police, but have you researched any of the reports? Most of them are justifiable. Do your own research, don’t rely on just Shaun. http://killedbypolice.net

It’s still@grossly disproportionate to other countries which is Shaun’s point.

How do we stop this?

Judicial rulings? Federal laws? I just don't know the best path to lowering that number.

There is, I am certain, a better answer. There better be.
