  @darrenrovell McMahon is also factually wrong about the "time honored tradition" aspect. For decades players weren't even present on-field during the anthem. That only really changed post Dessert Storm and 9/11 as, essentially, military propaganda, complete with fly-overs.

  No doubt. I believe Trump's attack on the NFL had two intents: stir up racism and create the xfl opening. He accomplished both, but the effects will be very short-term in the long run.
