I’m curious to know exactly how the more progressive members of the Senate stood up for DACA yesterday, and over the past few days, behind the scenes. Did they fight for it? Or just quietly vote no when it can time? Anyone with links on this?

Instead of bickering, we should stand united. Think of yesterday's choice not as capitulation, but a ceasefire, to ensure the vulnerable children wouldn't be left in the middle of a long fight. Yesterday we did what was compassionate. Now, we rise to do what is right.

Remember 16 states would have exhausted CHIP funding by end of January. Besides the travesty of letting kids lose healthcare, think of the optics GOP would formulate. This is the prob when 1 party holds both the brain and the heart.

If in 3 weeks, dems don't hold the line on DACA and not vote for the budget, unless it's included, then we can say they caved. A 3 week extension is not a victory for Republicans.
