Interestingly - when I googled 'shithole countries', once I got past the news reports, about 95% of references to countries as 'shitholes' were written by people on neo-nazi and white supremacist websites.
Not just Trump, but other Republicans are really calling Dick Durbin a liar because Durbin said Trump said Africa & Haiti are shitholes when they think he said shithouses. I have never heard the word shithouse in my life. This is ludicrous and wildly disrespectful.

The word doesn't matter! It's the intent. His intent was to imply that the PEOPLE from these countries are also shitholes/shithouses so why would we want them. They can spin it, but he is a racist. ~ MaryAnn

Even if Trump did say "shithouses" instead of "shitholes," it makes no difference - his blatantly racist statement still has the same meaning and intent.
