These images get me so emotional. People who truly believed in the American dream, that all are created equal, that all deserved the same opportunities, that all deserved to be loved the same. I wish I could have witnessed that period first hand.

I always found it difficult to compassionately and justly write about my husbands grandfathers horrific experiences in WW2 till I watched "WW2 In Colour". It made a massive difference.
