12. Barack Obama is literally the only leader in America with more social media followers than Trump. He has twice as many, by the way. He would mop the floor with Trump. He would've stomped him in 2012 and would squash him right now.

Great political analysis, but you're fixating on the campaign & not at all on the admin to follow. Oprah has a following to match Trump, but what will her admin look like? She's a billionaire with no experience, much like Trump. Meanwhile, Bernie has been in office for decades.

Shaun was about Policies but when the Oprah comment was made he went full IDPol. He cut his foot off in a instant.

I don't know where this love for Oprah came from, she's just a celebrity for the center-left, but I want to give King benefit of the doubt. He's been a faithful ally, he saw the virtue of Bernie's policies & defended him while fellow journalists were dismissing Bernie's campaign.
-
Same. He did amazing work on Alt.Right Protest, He went all in for Justice & was always approachable. Now this has tarnished him, not the work he has done. Bernie,Nina few others would be a Progressives obvious choice.
-
Oprah & her entire production has been trolled countless times, she's attacked guest for not being for the Iraq Invade & Slaughter. She's praised Trump & Weinstein in the Past. She's been a capitalist for more than 30 years.. She'd embrace it not tear it down.

You forgot "under 75". And you're not credible when it comes to talking about candidates. You threw a tantrum when your preferred candidate lost. You said you were leaving the D party & urged others to as well. Buh bye.http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/king-leaving-democratic-party-article-1.2644307 …

I think
@Oprah has a great deal to contribute to helping the Dems win in 2020. Hell, 2018, too. But not by running for president. THIS is how she could help Dems win not only the presidency but just about every down ballot office as well. THREADhttps://twitter.com/PracticalLefty/status/950691407580352512 …Thanks. Tulsi Gabbard, WITH Sanders' backing. She could pull in support from military and Republicans, as well as progressive dems.

It's not about just winning. Winning and then letting the country decay is how we got Trump in the first place. No to Oprah. No to Michelle. Yes to Bernie. Yes to Keith. Yes to Nina. Yes to Tulsi.

AND the primary message can not be "Trump is SO BAD". IT HAS TO GENUINELY SPEAK TO the 99% or it will fail! This is true for the congressional elections of 2018. No blue wave without a solid & bold vision.

Every person who I talked to who had voted for Hillary in the primaries said they did so because they thought she was more electable than Sanders. Mitt Romney got the nomination b/c Repubs thought he was the most electable option. Choosing the "most electable" is a path to lose.
-
You're elevating a talk show host as a presidential nominee based on the scale of Instagram followers. You don't even know anything about what policy she'd bring. This is rabid insanity. Needless to say, she'd be about as bad of a president as you are of a political analyst.
-
And I say that as someone who respects a lot of your other work. It's just that this is scarily bad political analysis. People need to get excited over policy, not cult celebrities.

Would love Michelle, but she has been ADAMANT she does not want to run. We gotta respect that.
-
I think the Obamas have had a taste of freedom & probably won't want to give that up.
-
After 8 years, can't say I blame them
