12. Barack Obama is literally the only leader in America with more social media followers than Trump. He has twice as many, by the way. He would mop the floor with Trump. He would've stomped him in 2012 and would squash him right now.

22. End of thread. We must not treat running against Trump like it's a normal thing. He's not normal. How he dominates the news is not normal. Defeating him will require a different approach. We could perhaps go back to normal down the road. But we're not there yet.
I sort of agree, but I think many now see Obama as part of the “establishment” & what is going to galvanize voters will be a candidate who is at least slightly outside of that realm. You could run Biden & win, but the galvanization wouldn’t be as strong.
IMO Biden won't be the nom for 4 reasons: 1) He will be 78 2) He was *the author* of the '94 Crime Bill 3) He completely mishandled the Anita Hill hearings 4) He's never been a good primary candidate anyway, barely getting any delegates in his 2 tries for the nomination.
I agree with that assessment, but I think Biden has one ability others struggle with and that’s an ability to speak to Trump voters, but also compassionately. Rare combo for both sides.
Yes but with Biden it's a double edged sword. He can talk to the regular joe and shoot the shit but that also makes him gaffe prone. But maybe being VP for 8 yrs honed his skills, guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Without a doubt. But, next to Trump... if people voted on facts & reality the landscape would be vastly different. Unfortunately, they don’t. We shall see...
I hate to say it but Obama could run again if he officially changed his name and waited one year...but America didn't appreciate him as a lawyer the 1st go around... they wanted to be entertained...are they not entertained?
