I remember reading a study that showed forgiveness increases life expectancy of patients with HIV. Which corroborated my sense of the poison of holding a grudge. Forgiveness benefits the forgiver the most. It’s an active goal for me.
In church today I heard the most wonderful message on forgiveness.

I am super bad at forgiveness. I was a professional grudge holder until one of my kids said he held grudges like me. So I’m working on it.
