To me means that these days you can be a dumbfuck racist but you’ll be caught and outed. I think today racists are a minority and should be scared to voice their false-to-fact opinions. We have a long way to go but when institutions fire people for racism it’s an improvement.

People thinking racists aren't a significant portion of the population in 2018.pic.twitter.com/oFfQrRtwpB

I would say it is more significant now then ever. Consider how much time has passed since MLK and how far we thought we came. This last year was an eye opener. I never expected that so many racists are out there and it scares me. If children grow up with hatred 1/

That's the scary part, that somehow people are only just now realizing (or admitting?) the extent of white nationalism in America. It's neither uncommon nor inconspicuous, it just happened to be THE running platform of a presidential candidate, and he won.

1/2 While your Tweet is technically correct, it is quite misleading. Employees of the City of Warner, Oklahoma were fired. Not employees of the City of Oklahoma City, which is vastly more well known and recognized as you have identified the entity referred to in your Tweet.

2/2 A tweet rewording and clarifying would be most appreciated.
