Speaking from my family’s personal experience it’s way more than most. It’s actually a “good” settlement. But we’d give it all back to have our loved one.

your description does not tell the story. He was in a 4 hour standoff. Should they have shot him? From what I read no, but you make sound like he was sitting there just chilling and they pulled up and shot him without any provocation.

it should say “unarmed So and so sues Pd after being shot during a four hour standoff with Police” that isn’t leading and tells all the highlights. Being in a 4 hour standoff is a HUGE fact to omit on purpose.
