I know we're all familiar with his dishonesty, but Trump's denial that he called Haiti & Africa "shithole countries" is actually deeply disturbing 10 people were in the room. He either: 1. Expects them to cover for him 2. Is fine w/ a huge public lie 3. Doesn't know he's lying

And how many of these
#shitholes have condemned trump's remarks? -
Durbin is giving interviews as we speak and he is appalled by trump's "hatred".

Yet, they said NOTHING! Their fake bewilderment makes them all look even less credible that they already are. They’re complicit to a racist and are now synonymous with racism. Like Trump their legacies are tarnished. Shame on
@SenateGOP@GOP@SpeakerRyan@SenateMajLdr -
They’re not just complicit in silence they’re racist by their actions conspiring legislatively against POC.

I couldn’t agree more!

Apparently there was only one American in the room
@DickDurbin -
No, there was only one in the room who is trying to maintain the dignity and compassion of being an elected representative. The rest are mini me versions of 45 and sold their souls for $$ long ago.

The silence is deafening
#NeedtoImpeach#25thAmendmentNow -
It’s not.They just agreed with him, that’s all!
-
What is not? The deal was under Bush Administration.
-
Also, in most circles, silence is acceptance. If you don't stand up and say something/anything against a remark, then it is perceived that you agree with whatever was said. So, by not saying anything, the GOP are "saying" that they agree that Haiti & Africa are shitholes.

It was Desmond Tutu who said "If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor".
