Disagree so strongly on this one. The first question should be if the person is qualified. Then whether they can win. Putting winning over everything else was literally Trump’s mantra during the election. We cannot fall into the same trap.

I disagree. Hillary was uber qualified.
-
Again, not saying we shouldn’t also consider whether someone can win. It just shouldn’t be the first consideration. Either way, Clinton’s nomination was a sign we chose qualifications over “winning” which is why we even *deserved* the win. The ends never justify the means.

Eh, I see what you’re saying, but if he makes it to run in 2020 won’t we need a candidate with real experience governing to fix this mess?
-
That’s actually the job of the rest of congress, the president doesn’t do as much as them. Consider Trumps lack of success in just about anything, because the power of executive orders is quite limited
-
I think it’s incredibly short sighted to focus all energies into the presidential election when we need to be restoring sanity and diversity to each and every office and appointment
-
If Oprah wants to run, great, but I honestly think she’d have more impact as a senator- but she isn’t qualified or experienced at all to deal with that nightmare tornado of chucklefucks
-
Or maybe I underestimate how much of that shit she had to deal with and manage ? I suppose I am forgetting the other side of all her business

Why is society so hung up on celebrities? What happened to the everyday person that is best qualified for the job.someone who will give us single payer healthcare, living wages and break up big banks and take money out of politics and the judicial system.level the playing field.

Why are people talking as if Trump running in 2020 is even a possibility? Seriously asking.

We have to survive 2018 first, people. Oprah lit a candle in the darkness for sure. But the next 10 months is critical and unpredictable. Buckle up and bear down.

More specifically: A very particular set of circumstances led to Trump winning in 2016. Many were Clinton-unique.
