All surrounding streets and access were blocked by garbage trucks and police. This is about the all of what happened. Activists like @tamisawyer and others pushed for a volunteer day rather than a counter protest so we had great support for ongoing projects in the city.

These are not Memphians. These people came in from Mississippi to protest the removal of confederate statues a few weeks ago. They drove around the city today, attempting to attract followers. They were almost entirely ignored.

Just to clarify. These were idiots from outside of Memphis with their panties in a bunch about statutes coming down. They came and got their ass out of town quick.

I feel sorry for that Waffle House bathroom that they will destroy later.

The only killer of these idiots is heart disease, gun violence and inbreeding.

As a white woman who grew up in the diverse Berkeley, CA, the only thing I felt about such diversity was lucky.

They’re all related through intermarriage, or “non-diversity.”

Do these people take themselves seriously? What are they asking for exactly? What should happen to non whites? Excessive policing involving choke holds?
