The most important thing you can read today is not about Steve Bannon. It's from the Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, James Risen. Here, James details how the New York Times regularly suppressed his stories at the request of the US Government.https://theintercept.com/2018/01/03/my-life-as-a-new-york-times-reporter-in-the-shadow-of-the-war-on-terror/ …

Under the Obama administration. Let that sink in, folks. This is dystopian.

What do they mean? Was there a team that voted on what to suppress? Was it a WH aide? Was it POTUS? Did it have approval from POTUS or VP? WTH if they are telling all then #TellItAllNow ? BTW odd that the Bannon story leads away from the Donald administration 🤔

US presidential administrations & intelligence teams have probably all engaged in it, but it got more brazen with GWB’s Patriot Act. Obama campaigned on rolling back TPA but instead strengthened it and then left those laws in place. They were inherited by a mad man.

What confuses me is that Trump's always calling it the "failing NYT" while it's apparently been so sympathetic to him. This is not a sarcastic comment, I really don't get this.

Because he's been listing to Bannon all along. Bannon is about his own plan & his own media machine. And if there is one tiny blip of negative about Trump he calls people fake/failing/wrong.

Trump's plan didn't include him winning the election. He ran to bolster his new businesses. Once he got there, his ego (which can now barely fit through the door) took over. And yes, he's tearing down anything in his path now.

It doesn’t matter who’s administration it happened under -what matters is that we can’t tolerate or accept corruption on any level from either party. It must stop! We need people with a moral compass and those who can function with a modicum of integrity.

It's time that the progressive left really start attacking media organizations that purport to speak to us while standing in our way, @voxdotcom, @washingtonpost, @nytimes and @MSNBC are all part of the problem and not our allies. We have to make that clear before 2018 and 2020
