I agree with your overall message, but if Mr. Riehl is the man depicted, he appears multiracial/Latinx/Asian-Pacific Islander, rather than exclusively "white."

If he was something other than white his race would have been headlined or even mentioned in all the many news articles.

It is impossible for them to see them as terrorist, when in their eyes, they are amerikkkans!

He's also a veteran. Most veterans are admirable people, but a disproportionate number of gun attacks like this are perpetrated by veterans (many white, but some non-white too). Americans need to look more closely at the connection between military service and gun violence.
-
Certainly, we need to do better integrating veterans back into society and addressing PTSD. But I also worry that there is something amiss with the culture of the military and police in America that is normalizing violence in a way that maybe was not as prevalent in the past.
-
Or maybe the military culture is in danger of being saturated by white supremacists.https://splinternews.com/the-military-has-a-serious-white-nationalist-problem-1819800897 …

And then there's General Kelly defending the confederacy, unfairly attacking a black congresswoman, and implying that those who serve in the military are superior citizens to those who don't.

After every mass shooting if the media doesn't immediately report the race/ethnicity of the shooter, then it is always fair to assume the shooter is white. This corporate news media tendency can be assumed to be based on racial bias.
-
Because they assume those criminals have some kind of “connections”, are related to someone important or that they are mentally ill. Media subconsciously biased as a habit.
-
The pro-establishment (i.e., pro corporate state, fascistic) bias of the system in the U.S. is baked-in. It didn't happen by chance. It is the result of decades of carefully-designed strategies to use the power of mass media to manipulate and control the masses.

Agree! Great thinking “pensador”.

When asked for comment, President Trump said “we must rid our nation of this infatuation with guns & violence & address every incident equally.” J/K - no comment about the shooter. Hmmm... wonder why?
-
Because
@PressSec thinks it’s too soon to talk about it. Always their go to line.

@NoFascistsPls Why isn't Trump railing against this? Where's the outrage on Fox? Naked hypocrisy. -
Simplest and saddest answer: because he is not a person of colour.
