My husband was deployed in the army to the L.A. riots after the Rodney King trial. The rules of engagement were not to shoot at people if there was a street or house/business directly behind people even if they were shooting at them.
Yep....I was military police. For some reason, the civilian cops are not trained about use of force, but the military police are?!.

I think it's the narrative of cops being hero and they're some how unflappable and make no mistake people forget that it's job and they work for us
He's what will happen, the cops will be given the opportunity to review dash cams and body cams before writting an incident report
And since everyone tries to get out of jury duty, the jurors will be the dumbest 12 people who couldn't come up with a good excuse

The only thing worse than this tragedy is right wingers who have responded by saying it wouldn't have happened if Kameron had been armed. That and the SA police saying their cops followed "policies" and sorry this "young man" was killed.
It makes me weep & furious all at the same time.
