But what are his motives?? I mean, the only reason Lavar's relevant is bc he's a dad who lives vicariously through his kids and realized the opportunity to profit off Lonzo's fame/success in NBA by using it as a platform to launch/promote his own brand in order to get rich*

I find it hard to believe he has the athletes best interest in mind

@johnnyketchum This is brilliant. Untapped talent pool that'll surely jump on board. Tired of those kids being used for university profits -
Truueee. I’m down for kids getting endorsements

Yes it's a win-win for everyone and it's important to support an entrepreneur.

Always have been uncomfortable with American athletics. Echoes of overseer/slave power dynamic inequality, pro and college alike. Why is that?

The way the NAACP handles it's student athletes is shameful, but shouldn't it be of concern that this will discourage players who don't have a legitimate chance to make it into the NBA from the opportunity to receive a college education that will enrich their lives?
-
The NAACP is not a sports organization.

Totally missed that and I can only guess it was auto correct or total brain fart. Thank you for pointing it out. *NCAA*

What an unethical hustle, providing athletes a free or discounted education that would otherwise cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars and likely place them under an unforgiving pile of debt! So unethical and horrible.
