Disagree, he’s far from brilliant. He’s an opportunist. What happens after the league? These kids have a high school edu. & no life and employable skills outside of ball. What’s next after 1-2 years playing as a “high school” top prospect? Ball is life right? Until it isn’t

Exploits kids who otherwise would of made an effort to get into a college at any level. When his league dies, no employable skills.

And no eligibility to play and get a free education. Kids need realistic options whether it’s college, tech school, training for a skill....something. I do not believe this is viable one for them to succeed in their adult lives.

Understand your point but kids r getting used to make billions used to be millions u can always get education till u die but there’s a limited time u can play sports so if they can make that money go for it
-
.01% make that money. Odds are they will NOT.

Innovation is dope, but we need to seriously take a look into how this could affect young Black athletes. Especially given this:https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/eriksherman/2017/09/11/median-wealth-of-black-and-latino-families-could-hit-zero-before-the-centurys-end/amp/ …

I had some of the best coaches and role models in the world. Education always came FIRST. We should encourage this as well, esp the slim chance of playing professionally, even for top ranked basketball players
-
Anything can happen that can hurt a players chances playing professionally. If we back this leagu, we need to ask how will it affect our communities? Who profits? What does it do for athletes that don’t make it (scholarship funds? Intern/job programs?) is it re-investing in us?
-
Love the idea, but let’s add some nuance here. Support Black business, but also make sure said Black business is supporting us as well.

The man has a vision like Jay Z said. He himself deviated from the norm and started his own label with friends. Life is all about development and like Frank Zappa said " Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible."
