I think we shouldn't do what the right wing does. The writer's credibility has nothing to do with an alleged sexual abuse victim's claims. Whether Linda is our friend or our enemy should have no bearing on the fact that a victim has spoken up and needs to be heard. Period.

That said, a victim speaking up is not proof of Linda's guilt at all. But dismissing the victim's claims just because someone is on OUR side is wrong. Very wrong. No difference between the left & the right if we act this way.

This needs to be thoroughly investigated. The woman's claim, regardless which media outlet she chose to share her story with, should be taken seriously. If there are women with similar experiences, they shouldn't be discouraged from sharing their story.
