Please include other minorities. More native americans are shot by police. Hispanics have lowest graduation rates.
You have to pick from what's out there applying for the positions. I would like to see a change in diversity as well to get a better representation of the country, however if they aren't aware of the opportunities they can't be hired.
If they need recruits, they could probably start by asking some professors at Howard, which is right down the street.
That's definitely a good idea...and local. Now it makes me wonder if they have tried recruiting but didn't get any response or haven't tried that option at all.

Is this issue about access or lack of interest? The answer reaches back to engage high school students in the "process" of government. Seems to me there needs to be an outreach liaison for every Senator/Congressman.
