Racism and bigotry are bipartisan.. it should be called out and named, no matter which side it comes from. If you care about equality in this country, this is what needs to happen.
"You had an excellent interview, but unfortunately we have too many White people employed in the office already."

Hopefully one day in our lifetime we will live in a world where people can see past skin colour!
I believe that the new DNC rule about paying interns will help. Lets be honest it easier for a well off family, like mine, to allow a student to take an unpaid internship. My son was an unpaid intern this past summer for a state representative.

TRUTH hurts.
This is where Dem Party moved since 2016. Hiring women & LGBQT, and pretty much nothing but. Minorities? If they fit in one of those categories, they got some jobs, but look at DNC staff in DC. There is 1 brilliant young African-American woman. Very deserving but also connected.
What is so amazing to me is that White women were some of the biggest beneficiaries of POC hard fought Civil Rights movement battle.
Shaun I am a huge fan of your honesty, integrity and commitment. You do wonderful work but calling progressive representatives (who need to address these imbalances) 'soft bigots' is beneath you & unhelpful. You are intelligent & articulate enough to do better in this instance!
Or, helpful to state the facts. This is a problem which needs to be addressed. #Honesty
I recognise the need to address the imbalance -it is essential.I think the label 'soft bigots' is not constructive when referring to representatives who aspire to inclusivity.The reasons why this hiring imbalance happens is a much bigger discussion & involves active restructuring
