Cory Booker and Kamala Harris. You don’t want to talk about US Senators? At this point in time we lack black governors and AGs, but we had Dems run Barack Obama. We had Governor Deval Patrick. Dems are not afraid to run black candidates. And black candidates need to run & win.

My dad (first black mayor of iowa city) is a progressive running for Gov of Iowa (would be 1st black iowa Gov) http://letsbeiowa.com
-
That’s great news! I just donated to him! Keep up the great work! We need him!!!
-
Thank you so much!!
-
Sure thing! We all have to pitch in and stay vigilant! 2018 can’t get here soon enough!
-
We have to work everyday to get as many progressves, POC, as possible elected!

Corey booker for VP would have put hc over the edge.
-
Yep. So would Juan Castro, Kamala Harris...really any other black/brown Person with a reputation of fighting for POC. I’m sure Tim Kane is a decent dude but he has no receipts.
-
Kamala was still running then so it would have been bad to pull her from that race. Cory would have been great because he was popular, had a national presence and is a great speaker/motivator. Tim Kaine was a wet noodle who added nothing to the ticket
-
Typically, Dem campaigns try to balance the ticket. Person running for Pres. is seen as a liberal or comes from a liberal state, they get paired w some1 who is seen as a conservative. e.g. Kennedy (MA) & Johnson(TX)
-
That’s a long way to go for an example. The argument is that HC would have been better off opening the party to a POC instead of a white guy with the charisma of dry whole wheat toast.
-
This wasn’t the time to go for the typical ticket. The GOP ticket ran with two (insert insults here). This was the time to go big or go home (she chose the latter). Trying to play it safe with a VP that added absolutely zero to HRCs base, likeability, or confidence was a waste.
-
HC & team were playing it like the Presidency was already theirs. They're running against Trump, they're defending a 28-3 lead

This is not new. This is "business-as-usual" in American politics...pic.twitter.com/1ohuk13BEO

Although I agree with your argument, please don't erase the US Virgin Islands. We are part of the United States and we have a Black governor.

We have a great candidate for governor in Oklahoma -
@ConnieJ4OK. She’s progressive, smart, and just the sort of leader our failing state desperately needs.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You're right. This is an outrage! Even the leader of BLM is white
-
Its about how qualified you are. Not your skin color, religion.
