This is a purely racial divide, a backlash to Obama’s 8 years. Trump’s election was the same.

Obama did not racially divide the country, Jodi Racism has always been here Obama just made it so that white people can't ignore that racism anymore. That's not a bad thing, people of color have every right to voice anger.
-
Whoa whoa whoa. That is NOT what I said at ALL.
-
I'm 16 so I have the reading comprehension of a 16 year old. That is my bad. I am so so sorry!
-
Lol...she had u all wrong. Good she got it right tho!

-
Right! I don’t disagree with what she said at all!

my thanks to black Alabamans for saving our asses once again. Maybe someday the rest of us will step up and do the hard work.
-
Am I the only one disappointed that ANY percentage of black people voted for Moore??
-
I hear that, but 3 out of 4 of my race/gender peers voted for Moore.

-
That's a truly frightening statistic.

That sad truth tempered my happiness about the @GDouglasJones win. How could 600k vote for Moore? They either don’t believe the stories about him or agree with them.
-
No. They follow party politics, which is a team sports, winner-take-all mentality. As if the Congress were the NFL. Let's take herd of what George Washington said in his farewell address. Ban. Party. Politics.
-
20k wrote in an alternate candidate. They were probably Repubs who couldn’t stomach voting for Moore but refused to miss an election. That number should have been higher.
-
And you are correct - if they didn't have an us vs. them mentality. Party politics corrodes the will to do things that are for the common good. It becomes a reward system for those with enough cash or fame. Abolish. Party. Politics. And we should heed, not herd.
