Yeah yes. It’s not up to McConnell. Each state has their own rules and timelines, which if you’re in a red state (or opposite) they’re going to max that timeline.

What Jones should do is show up at the Senate every single day and dare the capitol police to remove him. Sit in the lobby, on the steps, walk on to the Senate floor for votes, etc.
