Mayor Lee was a great friend of the developers who gentrified San Francisco. In addition he was in bed with the head of Airbnb, supported Uber & Lyft and their gentrification of our city. As rents skyrocketed, gentrification spread to other cities and impacted communities there.
Oh wow. I knew Mayor Lee and spoke with him several times about police reform in San Francisco. He was one of the few mayors in America willing to fire a very dangerous police chief.
