every president before obama was a straight (as far as we know) white male. all voter rights were for white men only before being ratified for black men, and later women. this country was founded for white men. why does it hurt your feelings to recognize this?

As a BLACK progressive, I couldn't disagree with you more Shaun. Voting your conscience is something that is afforded every American. If centrists choose to run low energy campaigns based on policies progressives disagree with, then we won't vote for that candidate.

Progressives have "fallen in line" for many years, & While I agree that Dem control is important, "Fall in line" politics is what gave is Trump, and Hillary Clinton, and allows centrists to provide lip-service while fighting AGAINST what their constituents actually want.

Yes. I have grappled with a chronic pain condition for 17 years and have dealt w/poverty + bankruptcy because of it. But as a white woman raised in the middle class I am tremendously privileged. It’s been challenging to recognize but I’m starting to own it.
