1. Started studying Philip Brailsford - the cop who murdered Daniel Shaver. I quickly noticed how hundreds of news outlets gave his photos a beneficial crop. Sometimes they’d show this image....pic.twitter.com/mAHJcT8eMA

3. Then I noticed that almost no media outlets used the actual unedited photo of Philip Brailsford. They all cropped out his tats. Of course I’m not saying tattoos incriminate a man, but it’s wild to see just how many outlets CHOSE to crop his tattoos out.pic.twitter.com/dFDgiO9HOE
At first I thought it was an urban legend, but Officer Philip Brailsford really did have the words “You’re Fucked” etched into the steel of the AR-15 assault rifle that he used to murder Daniel Shaver. The jury did not know this. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/mesa/2017/11/30/brailsford-ex-mesa-officer-charged-murder-says-he-would-take-same-action/910369001/ …pic.twitter.com/3reShDKzCx
Watching this reminded me of what happened to little Tamir Rice. He was being given instructions and didn't follow the instructions to a T. And if this grown man was nervous, can you imagine a child having to try to follow orders like that?
The screaming was intended to so intimidate and confuse the man that he couldn't follow the directions to a T. If you're trying to keep a situation calm and have a good outcome, that isn't how you behave.
Exactly what I was thinking to myself. He was trying so hard to follow the directions to a T. But they were screaming different directions at one time. Hands up arms straight up. The kid was getting confused by THEM. This was no reason to kil him
I had to watch this at least 5 more times to actually believe what I saw. I cannot believe they found him innocent.
He shoots him like it's Call of Duty. Horrific.
Exactly. He shoots for points.
There was absolutely no reason for someone to end up dead. Ignoring the issue that it was fucking murder, WHAT KIND OF POLICE WORK IS THAT? There was ample opportunity to handcuff the man & discover HE WAS NOT ARMED.
How the fuck is this possible? Whoever this killer is, he needs to rot in jail. For life…the end.
Martina - when you can - please read this to understand how this happens and why the cop was acquitted.http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/king-2-supreme-court-rulings-change-police-brutality-article-1.3269247 …
So basically, if a cop wants to shoot you, they can't be stopped and won't be found guilty of any crime. All they have to do is say they believed they were in grave danger regardless of any evidence including video that refutes that claim.
Also, people running away can be shot. When was running a capital crime? Don't you have juries for that sort of thing?
This is the most unbelievable thing I've ever ever seen. He terrorized an unarmed man and murdered him. This cop showed up looking for a shoot out and in no way demonstrated how a cop should handle that situation. He's a disgusting person. Absolutely disgusting.
absolutely Travon. I felt the exact same way.
Murder! The crazy part about this is if a federal officer did any of the things city cops do, they'd all be in prison. A federal officer cannot shoot anyone who isn't a threat. Claiming "fear for my life" v an unarmed person doesn't work for feds. Totally different training.
Maybe more like totally different set of values. This cop is a wannabe cowboy on a power Trip. I couldn't even finish watching this snuff film yet because he seems like a sadist playing simon says. He is NOT in any way in fear.
Seriously! How do I keep my hands up while crawling to you on my hands and knees!? He confused that poor man so much when he was clearly cooperating.
And having ankles crossed! That’s just an insane power trip.
I agree. He wanted to shoot anyways. I hope justice will be served.
He’s already been acquitted.
