My Latest. How far too many progressives are hating good political leaders because they aren't perfect, or ideologically pure. It's a problem that must be addressed and is often rooted in white privilege.https://theintercept.com/2017/12/07/atlanta-mayor-bottoms-progressives/ …

I agree on the root cause of this line of ideology. I wish we were multiparty and as plural as we claim to be. A two party system feels like an oppressive big box store or Apple brand lifestyle.

The only reason Bernie is leading on this is because he realizes he can’t win without the dem base. Too little. Too late

Where has Bernie been bashing Hillary supporters since the election? I must have missed that part.

Where’s the anti-war movement building in his platform? I’m into solidarity work that crosses borders. It isn’t merely an imperfection or impurity that such a central tenet of what needs be a international struggle is entirely missing. I’m into supporting where our goals overlap.

Good piece. Would be better if you acknowledged that during last year’s election you did exactly what you wrote about here, and you now see the error of your ways, but I guess we can’t make good the enemy of perfection, amirite? Also, this has never been Bernie’s strategy.pic.twitter.com/icJc1zE5I8
