I had projects in Alabama for years. It’s an awful place! The culture is backward the people are pathetic! It’s the middle of the so-called “Bible Belt!” However, they do not act Christian at all. They are racist, mysogynist, uneducated & prefer pedophiles to an honest Dem!

The fear expressed by that newspaperman demonstrates how brave our civil rights activists of the 50s and 60s were. They came up against baseball bats, bullets and dogs to attain the Civil Rights Act. Yet those evil forces that they fought against still lives in Alabama.

Some things will never change. The South glories in its antebellum past to this day. The plantation mentality is alive and well.

Agree. Plantation tours in the South are well received and enjoyed by tourists. Glorious language is stated about the antebellum past and the history of the era. Americans throughout the nation spend thousands to experience what it was like for some of us.
