He doesn’t know he’s making an argument for a living wage.

The one time I qualified for food stamps as an adult, because I own a home, even though I’m crippled under the mortgage payment, and I don’t have children they actually gave me $16 a month. $16 for 30 days of food

He's probably talking about richie rich types with trust funds and investments who don't work and do make $$ off of everyone else's work. They do exist.

He’s likely referring to the live in help of some of his rich do nothing friends living on investments. The only way this is possible.

Only if the guy with 3 jobs lives next to a wealthy bastard who lives off of Capital gains from his investments. The only people who sit around and make money for nothing are the rich, the investors that demand a factory be offshored in the name of profits.
-
The myth of the Welfare Queen is pushed by the idle wealthy who are terrified the masses will figure out that's what they do, sit around and get rich while doing nothing. It's misdirection in the hope the masses don't take too close a look at where their wealth comes from.
