What's extra jarring is that he doesn't even have the presence of mind to know that it would behoove him to APPEAR more humble even if he truly is not. He has no sense of self-awareness.

Anyone who has had a close relationship with a malignant narcissist knows about the constant need for praise and adulation, the gaslighting, verbal abuse, etc. Such people are soul-killing creatures. To have such a villain as POTUS is an astonishingly unfortunate turn of events.

Please know these actions are *not* rooted in insecurity. Psychological abusers authentically believe they are unique, above everyone else and entitled to constant praise. They refuse to acknowledge any real flaws because that would make them normal and like everyone else

I think, at this point, most of those who voted for him can see it. Not the die hard "maga" hat wearing rednecks. They still love him. I mean the middle of the road republicans who thought "How bad can it really be?". Answer: Really, really bad.
