I know it may sound silly, but I'm just so sorry that women have to deal with so much horrible BS from men every single day. It's just ridiculous. I aim to use my platform and privilege to call it out, amplify women, and impact the system.

What's even worse, women become conditioned to it from an early age, beginning with that first swat on the behind from a male classmate.

It makes you wonder, why the majority of white women continue to support the Republican party, with a demonstrated anti-woman platform: If Roy Moore wins, it will be because he received a majority of white women- very few seem to understand.

The "BS" rolls from the top down, when you have a guy like @SecretaryCarson cutting much needed #housing dollars, so that women feel trapped in abusive relationships, just 2B able 2 keep a roof over their heads & care 4 their children. It's nothing short of psychological slavery.

Not sure if sarcastic or not. There were no dots being connected. Women are mistreated. Damn Carson for cutting the money to allow them to be mistreated? What in the fuck logic is that?pic.twitter.com/rsNBhs314a

It's that women with children are in a uniquely vulnerable position. I have always been the breadwinner for my entire family but as a now-single parent it's nearly impossible to juggle everything. It's not sustainable. Every tiny bit of support helps

Not just helps, is *crucial*. It's a constant house of cards. So when support is removed, yeah it makes you even more vulnerable. It's completely plausible that women might stay in abusive situations because they have no financial alternative

If you truly want to be a good guy, reflect on each time you saw/heard something but didn’t say anything. Growing up male in rape culture means, you saw/heard/felt something was off at some point but didn’t step up. What’s that story?

Was there a time in HS a buddy whistled at a girl? Or a time you saw a guy hitting on a woman who just wanted to know what dressing he wanted on his salad? Or a teacher made a girl stay late & you just had a feeling it was wrong?

Thank you, truly! On a daily basis we censor ourselves (bc we don’t want something taken out of context), walk different routes in the office (to avoid that icky guy), walk with our eyes averted (so no one thinks we are flirting) the list goes on and on.

Too damn true. Not everyone understands that "we" encompasses all types of women-introverted, extroverted, shy, strong, insecure, confident. Those of us who consider ourselves confident & "don't take shit" can feel weak/like shells of ourselves in these situations & environments.
