I'm 38. I've with my wife for 22 years. For all 22 years since I've known her, she's had to deal with the ugly harassment of men in public. Catcalls, sexual harassment from strangers, creepy comments, etc. In New York it's fucking terrible. Every day all day....

Wheww... Oh yes. Especially in NYC. You don't realize it from a few visits & especially if u look from out of the area, but if u stay a while or look frm the area it's really bad. Maybe they don't mean any harm, but still. Taxi drivers, Doormen, City workers, every one.
I'm baffled thinking what these Alabama parents would say to their daughters if one came home from a date and said she had just been molested by the guy who took her out.
I have seen scenario firsthand at the teen shelter. I can assure you that they would blame her for wearing too short of a skirt or too much makeup or showing too much cleavage. Too many parents believe their female children's virginity is more important than their personhood.
