Listen. The train service in New York is HORRIBLE. It took my son and I 90 minutes to make a 30 minute trip. We left early and were still 30 minutes late. Trains closed everywhere. Everybody was confused as hell. It doesn’t need to be this way.

Try needing medical care, looking for an accessible station, riding while injured/healing from a medical condition, finding modestly clean bathroom, getting to your destination on time, reporting sexual harassment, etc. conditions are terrible.

Garbage how the article blasts the (innaccurate) salaries of the rank & file (as if salaries shouldn’t be at or above cost of living), but doesn’t discuss the issues faced or the roadblocks that managment creates for them.
And totally glosses over the numerous assualts every week that workers face. Lumps everyone together (workers and upper management) as if the people at the bottom are the ones ruining the city. Meanwhile they’re regular ppl trying to earn a living in a disgustingly expensive city

I was born and raised in Brooklyn. The NYC subway system has been broken for decades.
And still not ADA compliant.
Restoring the marginal tax rates from the 1950s could go a long way towards repairing infrastructure across the country. Income in excess of 5 million dollars a year should be taxed at 91 percent.
