Listen. The train service in New York is HORRIBLE. It took my son and I 90 minutes to make a 30 minute trip. We left early and were still 30 minutes late. Trains closed everywhere. Everybody was confused as hell. It doesn’t need to be this way.

Welcome to weekends in NYC
A mess. We take these trains on the weekend, but today it was all messed up. The apps were wrong. The workers were confused.
And they keep raising the God damn fare!
When I have to take the train, which I avoid when I can drive, it's always an ordeal with crowded trains, late trains or trains running on alternate tracks & sometimes with a shuttle bus required. I don't recall it being this bad when I first moved to NYC.@BilldeBlasio @NYCMayor
Lifelong New Yorker & subway rider here. I empathize w/ur frustration, but the MTA is controlled by NY State, not NY City, so call out the Governor & State Legislature, not @NYCMayor

I mean, it’s the weekend. A real New Yorker expects to double their travel time on weekends.
I already said that we gave ourselves double the time. And we were still 30 minutes late.

Exact same thing happened to me. Same train. Cab. All of that.
Every major US city could learn a thing by studying the transit system in Berlin. PHENOMENAL public transportation system and you're never more than a five minute walk from a hub.
Europe has the best transit systems!!
And we in the United States certainly without a doubt has the worst transit system!! The more we get into time, the more we step backwards and into utter complication! China makes the US look like we've stepped back into horse and buggy days.
