I don't agree with Tyrod being benched at all. But just because he was benched for a rookie who happens to be a white doesn't mean this was racially motivated at all. This is grasping at straws to try & make this about race. https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/930814017551167495 …

Shaun, I'm as big of a Kaep supporter as you are. But that doesn't mean every single time a black athletes loses minutes/at bats/starts it's because of their race. Like I said, I don't agree with Tyrod being benched at all. But to try & make this about race & cry racism is sad.

Doug, there's actual research that black Qbs are benched sooner and given fewer chances than white QBs. The idea that you have some total understanding of what actually is and isn't racially motivated is sad.

I never said I have a "total understanding". But not every single thing about a black athlete losing something is about race. From a football perspective, what the Bills are doing in this case may not sit well with a lot of people.

They are 5-4 and he was benched for a 5th round rookie. Taylor is in the top 10 in completion %, #1 in interception rate. You’d struggle to find a comparable white QB benched for a 5th round rookie.

yeah, there's actual research done on this. The "evaluation" that Tyrod somehow isn't worthwhile can't even be argued as not having any implicit bias in it
