People who are wrongly imprisoned should get millions of dollars from the state. Like, they literally took away years of his life.
8 years. Arrested for a non-violent drug offense 8 years ago...he was locked up 8 years WAITING FOR TRIAL. Never even convicted. Today they just let him go. No trial. Nothing. 8 years. #BailReform with anyone that has a financial incentive to keep the old system. Especially when elected officials, prosecutors, public defenders, advocates, and judges agree changes were warranted. -
