This is simply about the failure of the Justice system. Not a racial issue, plain and simple we need stricter laws on gun control.

The justice system fails with black people all the time too. But letting them stockpile guns when they shouldn't be able to own them isn't how it manifests. Why are you afraid to say race plays a role?
-
Not afraid to say race at all and yes there might be something to it but. Let’s make this about the failure of the Justice system and the simple fact that we need laws that will not allow anyone of any race to stockpile weapons.
-
Why should we make it solely about that?Aren’t issues, as with most things, multifaceted?Holistic analysis will prove to be more effective.
-
Completely agree
-
If you completely agree then you are by default admitting race is one of the facets here.

@Shluli I can't really agree with you. Do you really think he had positive communication with people in his family. He was estranged and combative with them. -

This pos was reported, arrested, confined, commuted, arrested again. How much more in the system could he be? We know who the wolves in our midst are, govt needs to help us protect ourselves by not arming violent criminals.

Let’s stop believing the justice system has failed us. it is in fact, workn EXACTLY the way designed. WS/ Racism = fully functional
-
Definitely. This isn’t a bug. It’s a feature. It’s not failing, it’s doing exactly what it was designed to do. Screw everyone but mediocre white men.

I’ve been in gun shops and I own a pistol/CWP; the people in those places are so horny for guns, they respect/encourage stockpiles!
-
Saw a black man in one shop so I observed everyone else’s behavior; I know for a fact racism exists.

weapon insurance just like car insurance would be one way to lower individuals arsenal
-
There is “weapon insurance”, it’s called your homeowner’s policy. It already covers liability for accidental injuries. But no underwriter will insure criminal activity or intentional conduct. It’s also against public policy to do so (it’s a moral hazard).
-
Same argument could be made for car insurance since wrecks cause more damage and deaths than guns but there is car insuran e even though risks are very high (prob why it exist). But good point But the point is to lower amount of guns and this would be viable way
-
Car insurance also doesn’t cover intentional conduct or criminal activity. So if you mowed someone down with car on purpose, you wouldn’t have insurance.
-
True but it would be to deter the amount of guns period without taking away the right to own them
