Rural voters still believe that coal, lumber and ranching are the issues they should vote on and that those industries have to be saved and only R’s can do that. Billings still more red due to the energy industry being on its doorstep. Butte votes red for the mining industry.

exactly! sadly tho automation & corporate ranching assures their demise if they weren't so boondoggleed by GOP rhetoric they'd be swimming in solar & wind energy profits produced on their lands

I love that you all think we are hicks or something here. The reason you are seeing this is because hardly any black people live here - we don’t see color, it makes no difference to us. Wilmott came here, and he has been nothing but a joy. That’s all.

I get what you were trying to say however, saying you don't see color is often insulting. Like a denial of others culture.

I know it does. We were coming back from Vegas, I was sleeping in backseat, my friend was driving (black) and my husband in passenger seat. He got pulled over. The cop actually looked directly at me and said “are you ok ma’am?” As if they kidnapped me. The crime? George is black.

Geez. Could be 2017 also.
