That doesn’t mean much. People react to what’s in front of them. Compared to DT, he’s “favorable,” but if they really remember Iraq, not so.

I thought the same thing. Why sum are going apocalyptic about it seems....like a waste.

Eh...I am sure this would be a lot different if there was a middle "Neither Favorable or Unfavorable" option like I see on a lot of surveys.
-
And you are free to feel what you want, but this shouldn't be an indictment of the Democratic Party...it's a survey crafted for a slant.

The man started the Iraq War based on lies and vengeance. I will never give him a positive rating.

Just the other day you all were hyping the Harvard-Harris survey that showed Bernie at 80% fav with Dems. How about some perspective?

You're not a Dem because in hindsight people tend to have a rosier view of politicians who are no longer in politics? That seems...odd
-
That is a pretty willful misinterpretation of what’s going on here
-
What is?
-
Their views on earlier presidents are based on comparisons to the current one. Which means the previous awful becomes the new norm.
-
It's also a pretty basic facet of human psychology--there's even a word for it. It's called nostalgia. Happened to Rs after Bill Clinton too
-
While that’s true, it doesn’t negate his point that he doesn’t feel represented by ppl who feel nostalgic for the man who took us into Iraq
-
It's not like this is a plank of the Dem platform. This is a poll of voters who call themselves Democrats.
-
Right, that’s exactly the point, though. It’s not about the party leaders, it’s the rank and file that dissatisfies him.
