The picture is not misleading. That is the intern picture for the Democratic Party. You thought it was photoshopped?

It is NOT a picture of interns for the Democratic Party. It is a picture of the interns that worked specifically at the DNC Convention. There are FAR MORE interns for Democrats than in this picture.

Unpaid internships are still considered rites of passage. Instead, they are barriers to entry that continue to limit students of color.

Dems and Republicans need to pay their interns! That won't solve the whole problem but it is a necessary step to attract diverse talent.

Also key to attract interns who understand real-world economic impact of policy. Paid program would attract greater diversity all around.
