The weapons used to mow down hundreds of people in Las Vegas were designed as human killing machines. Weapons of war. Should be banned.

They're banned to buy, not to own. There's a cutoff date, believe it's with weapons manufactured after 1986.

Possibly, I'd be all for banning those too, in fact most mods to fully automatic are banned.

But in Nevada there is virtually no ban on semi automatic weapons, and permits are grandfathered if issued prior to 2011.

Many are speculating it was a modified semi auto with a crank, also only new automatic rifles are illegal, old ones can still be owned
